A developer building modern websites, web apps, and interactive 3D.
SIMAX — Simon Maxam. A creative studio where music, architecture, code, and storytelling come together to build immersive experiences.
Guitar is my main instrument — I play fingerstyle and lead worship as a volunteer musician at church, and it's the thread running through everything else I build, from web projects to the studio itself. Whether I'm on stage or at a keyboard, I'm always chasing the same thing: turning an idea into something you can actually step into.
Producing a lot of work quickly, and getting a rough first version of almost anything in front of you.
Knowing which of those versions is actually any good, and having the nerve to throw the rest away.

Professional architectural design work — Revit modeling, drafting and visualization workflows.

300+ hours performing as a volunteer guitarist — rhythm, acoustic and classical pieces.
Every dot below plays a real note — click through a chord shape, or tap the fretboard and hear it for yourself.
Anchor your middle finger on the low E first — the rest of the shape falls into place around it.
Tip: try clicking fret 3 on the low E, then open on the A, D, and high e strings — that's the skeleton of the G major shape above.
Five songs I wrote, recorded and produced myself — press play on any row to listen right here.

“The best projects come from bringing different disciplines together, not staying in one lane.”
An occasional note when I ship something new — a game update, a new build, or a project worth sharing.
Projects, tools, timelines, and how to get in touch.
Anything at the intersection of design and technology — interactive websites, game development in Unreal Engine, architectural visualization, and music/creative collaborations. If it combines a few disciplines, I'm probably interested.
